Seko “Rawcitizen” Okeyo is a New York native-Kenyan Graphic Artist, Creative Director and Entrepreneur. His creative career began in Streetwear with a brand he founded in 2005 called Rawcite (Rawcity). A boutique men's and later women's streetwear line that was carried in shops and boutiques in New York City (Soho, Lower East Side, Williamsburgh),and San Francisco. After a couple of collections and momentarily falling out of love with the business of fashion, Seko focused on the graphic art aspect of streetwear design, moving on to logo and branding work. This led, to eventually taking designs that may have  been intended to be on a t shirt or a business card, and developing his voice further.  This exploration manifested in his first art showing in 2010,  a collection of work he called "Destroy Androids Rated X". The show was a break out moment, foraying into fine art and his first piece of art was sold.  A 4ft by 5ft  graphic art piece originally on vinyl than later on canvas for the owner. It took place at a now re imagined space on Greene St. and Prince in Soho.

After several successful independent graphic art shows completed,  commissions and international  sales haven taken place, the artist looks forward. Plans to launch a new boutique brand RCF. ( Rawcite Factory) are in the works. Seko will serve as Founder/creative director.  RCF as a brand will look to  produce work in different mediums and focus on building a strong team of creative professionals in video, illustration and more. Stay tuned. People power has been the core of the Seko’s career as an independent artist. The hope is to continue to work with, and receive support from everyone who has been on the journey to this point. Meeting new friends and partners, and aspiring to be better is always at the heart of the goal. Onwards and upwards.
